My interest in insulators began in the early 70's and included lightning arresters and where they were found.

What a surprise to see a recent purchase of a"Gamewell Terminal Box" full of arresters. Yes, Gamewell products also drew my attention from the beginning. In this box I see 8 "L. S. Brach MFG. Co. arresters. I've had many Brach pieces in the past but none like these. It was interesting to learn about this application of arresters.

In this case. Eight Fire Alarm boxes would be wired to one Terminal box with the 8 arresters to safeguard the circuits from a lightning strike.
