I was finally able to purchase one of these Brunt swinging knob wireholders with the G marking on it too. The pictures I've seen of others has the same large embossing and the G does match the G markings on my other G marked nail knobs and wall tubes. I wish we could identify who the G company is, but I'm more inclined to accept Jack Tods assumption that they were Globe Porcelain Company pieces. I have nail knobs and cleats with the Globe marking and they are similar in design to the G marked pieces but we still don't have solid proof. Globe Porcelain Company was in buisness from 1913 to 1955. They started out making door knobs and electrical porcelain but later years focused on porcelain bath fixtures and accessories. It is possible Brunt may have made pieces for them but the pin type insulators are a different story. Although they are heavy dry process porcelain that is twice fired as Brunt claimed to do with their pieces they made. When Brunt was purchased/ absorbed into General Porcelain Co.in 1911, G.P.Co. still used the Brunt name and had their own style of insulators. Wish I could find that missing link. Either way this is a great piece. I have it pictured next to another No. 24 Brunt spool in white. It does not have a G embossed on it and has a smaller embossing. I'm assuming the B on the lag hook stands for Brunt
