I only ran into Jim a dozen or so times at West Coast shows, but always looked forward to seeing and talking with him. And yes, he was usually accompanied by Chuck Irwin. Each were great guys in their own rite, but together they were a real hoot. Their stories go back long before I knew what an insulator was, and they were always more than happy to share them with me. As is true of all parts of our country, the Great Northwest produced some mighty fine folks.
