Up for grabs is a scarce Hemi 9 that doesn't show up often. I was fortunate enough to pick up a number of these several years ago in a collection of telephone glass accumulated by a fellow who wrecked out a pole line in eastern Ontario. Sadly I think this is the last one I've got left! I've never seen this embossing type anywhere else. This one is a [145] EIN with "HEMINGRAY" blotted out behind "MADE IN U.S.A." on the rear skirt. The "Y" is still plainly visible between "U" and "S". This one is also a nice light Hemingray blue colour. 3 partially chipped tiny drips in the front, and a 1/8" flat flake on the rear base edge below the "A" in "MADE". I'd still call this one better than most, given how delicate those drips and that sharp outer base edge are. I'm now asking $19 USD plus shipping for this one. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
