I lived about six miles from this location when this photo was taken. Although some were quite simple in design, these 4kv pole lines (see along the left of this image) that served Brockton Edison Company customers were among an endless variety that I recall in the many south-of-Boston communities the utility served. No two looked alike in my opinion! There was a mainline RR with lots of insulators not too far from this scene. Between riding my bike through this intersection dozens of times during insulator hunting expeditions in this area through 1967, I can still picture the rest of this vicinity very clearly in my mind.

Today the restaurant is still there and the intersection and roadway were widened. Boring 13.8kv primary distribution lines replaced the old 4kv stuff around 1980.
