A pair of 138kv transmission lines was added to this and many other towers during the 1960s along this very busy Metro North commuter rail route that paraells Route I-95 and the Connecticut coastline. Beneath are 11kv circuits that powered the electric trains that were (and still are) operating along this route that connects Boston with New York transit lines.
