I have been mentoring one of the vendors at a nearby flea market with respect to insulators. He made a nice buy online at the E-place, and he offered some of his extras at the flea market today. I told him he was a little light on his prices, but he said he already knew that. So I bought these from him. From left:

CD 106 EIN [010] (F‑Skirt) W.G.M.Co. SB in solid Purple. VVNM.

CD 102 EIN [087] (F‑Skirt) [Vertical bar]/[◊ blotted out] (R‑Skirt) [Vertical bar]/[◊ blotted out] SB in Royal Purple. VVNM+.

CD 257 EIN [060] (F‑Skirt) HEMINGRAY (R‑Skirt) PATENT/JUNE 17 1890 MAY 2 1893 {'0'\'3'} SDP in Aqua. It's got some damage as shown, and the surface has a satin-like finish inside and out, except for where the tie wires were wrapped in the rear dome, also as shown.

CD 234 EIN [010] (F‑Skirt) PYREX T.M. REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. (R‑Skirt) N/MADE IN U.S.A. 63 SB in Carnival. It's mint.

After we made this deal, I was chatting with him some more when another customer/friend of the vendor came by, and I was introduced. The vendor told his friend that I am also an insulator collector, and maybe I'd be interested in the friend's recent acquisition of a box of filthy, grimy insulators that he took in payment of some work he had done. The vendor was not in a position to buy the lot from his friend, so he asked me if I might be interested. I was, and the friend took me to his home a few miles away where I looked over the items and made him an offer that about knocked him off his feet. He accepted, and I slid the original vendor a little extra as a "finder's fee." Turns out his friend did the same, so the vendor came away with a tidy sum for this serendipitous connection.
