I may be crazy, but I think these crude, old, dry process lag screw insulators are pretty darn cool. This two have a great amount of character, with crude, mottled glazes that are splotchy and uneven on their bases. The left example in both images is a dark chocolate brown shade, while the one at right has a sort of "lizard scale" patterned glaze that is much lighter in colour and quite heavily mottled. I'm not sure who made these but they surfaced in the London, ON area. I've posted [id=665838441;a second photo that shows the glaze a little better on these].

Both examples are in great shape, though the lighter example has a badly corroded lag screw that has worn almost right through.

I'm now asking $15 USD plus shipping for these two. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
