Here's another great character Brookfield pony that saw use here in SW Ontario. This one has a backwards '17' on the dome top and big fat sharp drips on its base. I can never seem to adequately capture the swirling in these pieces, but I think the photos for this one at least do it some justice. It has thick, heavy amber/green swirls throughout that impart a striped two-tone effect. This is especially pronounced from the front. This example is in good shape for one of these, with only 4 flaked drips, one of which is associated with a base flake that starts out 3/8" wide on the front outer base edge and narrows into one drip. It also has a couple open bubbles on the tips of some drips. I'm now asking $28 USD plus shipping for this one. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
