Historic flooding ravaged the STL area on 7/26/2022. Not immune from damage was the Missouri Eastern Railroad, who lost about two hundred yards of ballast in Maryland Heights, MO. The next day, much of this ballast has been replaced and is ready for tamping and surfacing. It probably helps when your ballast supplier is only a mile down the tracks from this location, too.
