Green River whiskey got its start in 1885 and it labeled itself as "The Whiskey Without a Headache". This pretty label is on a 14 oz WGM bottle. Also an interesting part is that it was the official whiskey of the US Navy Hospitals. The distributor (Henry P Bledsoe) was here in Denver. Circa 1900-1909. Bledsoe in later years was the treasurer of the Baby Beet Puller MFG Co of Denver and met his demise in 1917 after he fell out of a 5th story hotel window. Although rushed to the hospital in a police ambulance he expired shortly after arrival. He's buried in Fairmount Cemetery here in Denver.
