This is by far the most common Edison battery oil bottle. You will see these laying in dumps and along railroad lines. Antique stores love to put high prices on these because of Edisons name and signature embossings. I have found 5 different Edison bottles so far. Embossings are mostly the same except for the differences I've listed. Again I wish I could get better pictures of the embossings. Top row Left to right: Thomas A. Edison Inc. Bloomfield NJ, Small sharp embossing. Anchor Hocking mark on bottom-Clear, 2nd bottle same embossing only larger, Keystone mark #'s on bottom, Pink Tint, 3rd bottle, Medium size embossing, Circle P #'s mark on bottom-Green Tint, 4th bottle, Large embossing, Keystone P mark #'s on bottom-Clear, 5th bottle, Small light embossing, #'s on bottom-Clear. Pictured on the bottom row are two NOS oil bottles still sealed with the original oil still in them. First is an Edison Large embossing, Keystone mark on bottom. The next bottle is a Waterbury Battery Oil. Small embossing, Keystone mark on bottom. This has a cork stopper sealed.
