Kennebunk is a seashore community near the Maine coast (not to be confused with Kennebunkport that neighbors to the east) approximately 100 miles north of Boston. Kennebunk is regarded as among the nicest and most historic seashore Maine towns with many finely kept old homes and other period buildings.

The street lamp shown was produced around 1920 by the George Cutter Company (South Bend, IN). In the early 1920s the company was sold to Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company.
