Hard to tell from pic,.....but if this wire were stretched out, it'd be over 6 inches long. Both ends fold over into loop. The wire ridge obscures the ends where they're folded over. This is a thick, long wire. Probably a piece of tiewire. It's amazing it is not protuding from the glass anywhere, not even in the pinhole. It's completely encased within the glass
