Co. insulators have been found on distribution pole lines in Cambridge, which is a large city neighboring Boston immediately to the north. FYI.. the utility serving Cambridge has always been a differing one providing electric service to Boston (and many other communities .. Boston Edison). The E.L. Co. initials likely represent the Edwin Lewis Company, a prominent electrical supplier that existed in Boston around the turn-of-the-century. |
