In commemoration of the issuance of the J-D suspension patent on February 3rd, 1920, a picture of a set of J-D discs still in service. My research suggests this pole has been in place since 1926 - THE last original pole remaining on a line built to connect a major power plant in central North Dakota to the company's transmission system further east in the state.
