ROYAL PURPLE CD 113 BRAILLE – Character $215 shipped in USA photo 2 This beautiful insulator has great character and is in great condition for an insulator with many sharp drippoints. I can see why this one is nick-named braille. There is a pattern of sharp "dots" around the skirt: 3 dots, 1 dot, 1 dot, 3dots, 1 dot, 1 dot. For the mathamatical types, there is a dot or three at every 60 degree angle measured from the center of the insulator. There is a point inside the pin hole just like the Pennycuick style. There is an overpour around the pin hole which is nice and smooth, but lopsided giving almost a petticoat on about a fourth of the insulator. There is a healed annealing mark inside the pin hole (see photo). There is a second healed annealing mark deep inside the pin hole that I can't photograph.

Damage is very slight most apparent on close inspection. There is a light ping (photo) on the dome as well as two other flea bits. There are two wire ridge nicks (photo). There is one drip point with less than half of it remaining. There are five other sliced drip points (photo). Most of the damage is not apparent when the insulator sits on the shelf.
