Here's a set of three different tougher-to-find variations in the G.N.W. CD 145 embossing. I've always been a fan of these GNW CD 145s, and have kept a close eye out for variations over the years. How can you not love that great big, bold embossing?

From left to right:

1.) [010] EIN with no blotouts and "thin" embossing. This is the same mold the purple shades are found in. This is a deep blue aqua shade that is much less commonly encountered than even the purple shades. This example has a couple small black pieces of metal or other junk suspended in the rear skirt, and a few amber wisps throughout the dome. It's in good shape with just some wire rubbing in the front, and a 1/4" long scratch and 1/16" fleabite on the rear skirt. $20 USD plus shipping for this example.

2.) [010] EIN in a transitional mold with thicker glass and much more bold embossing. This example is a crisp light aqua colour and has some great milk and amber streaks/stringers running throughout the front skirt and front and rear crown. It also has some dramatic straw marks. For damage it has a 1/4" flake on the rear lower wire ridge but is otherwise pretty nice. $25 USD plus shipping for this one.

3.) [010] EIN in the same transitional mold as #2, but in a nice dark steel blue colour. I find this colour very similar to that listed as "dark steel blue" in the Canadian No. 2 cable CD 252 style, and I find it to be quite scarce. It is much darker and more saturated in colour than the typical steel blue examples found in the same mold as #1 in this post. This example is VNM with no visible damage apart from wire groove rubbing and some outer base roughness. $50 USD plus shipping for this piece.

I'm asking $80 for the set of three insulators. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
