Here's a large porcelain spook insulator from Germany. Was used with an unusual application- a large H-shaped iron hook was clipped through the "eyes" allowing it to support a heavy cable or other equipment on its head! There is no damage to the insulator but there is a partial pin left in the pinhole with half of the early sulfur cement intact- which usually dates the insulator to the early 1900-1920 production. Never seen another! Unlisted in the books and the NIA website. Measures 3 1/2" base width x 5 1/2" tall. First email gets the rare spook for only $300 plus shipping. Includes the original hardware if desired. Thanks! |
