These were sometimes furnished in green glaze as a delineator (instead of standard chocolate brown) so that their specialty service (instead of for fusing transformers, etc.) for operating series street lighting systems could be readily identified. Most other manufacturers of box-type fuse cutouts furnished the same green glazes as an option.
