I recently toured the interior of a 1950s U.S. Air Force B-36 bomber. I noticed these interesting multi-part insulators in the aircraft. They seem to have a glass skirt and a long cylindrical porcelain top. Does anyone know what kind of insulators these are? Any help appreciated.
