Met a fellow named Arnold, a self described Navajo and Ohalone Indian whose dug some of the best sites in the SF Bay area since he was 8. He knows more about bottles than anyone I've met. He's a human bulldozer, came late, dug a huge hole and left with one cobalt owl bottle worth $500 (the second he had found at the site) He told me that Native Americans are a bit superstitious about being photographed, but he did consent to shot of his hand with the bottle. This is the guy who found the wooden insulators, and the plum colored spool-- hope to see him at the San Jose Insulator show.
