I met someone at an auction a week ago who said he had a bunch of insulators to sell. Went to look at them a few days later. He had 4 crates of soot-coated fairly common insulators. I could see half a dozen Lynchburg CD 154s, and a some other $3 to $5 insulators, so I bought the 4 crates for $80, which I'm sure most people would think is stupid.

After taking them home I searched through all the crates, at the very bottom of one crate I spotted a PRR. But wait... When I turned it over, it was a PLW! First one I've ever found. And full of diffuse amber and a little steam. Happy to add this to my collection.
