My one and only exception in buying - or selling - a knowingly stained (and stretched) insulator. VNM and "factory" fresh (for the second time this piece was heated and subsequently stained yellow.

A nice conversation piece. If you are looking for an insulacat with a 7-40 ::. date code this feline is for you. No damage to speak of except an area on the skirt [which is comprised of flattened RDP by the way] where some brick from the kiln stuck. The base does appear to have been ground to perhaps flatten a warped base so it sits flat?
