Purchased this American Beehive at the Rhode Ranch Tailgater. It looked unusual so I thought I would run it by the American beehive specialists. This is the "V" mold (V on top of dome) and has the vertical lines and small circles that indicate the hinge for the collapsible plunger. At a 90 degree orientation to the hinge circles and near the top of the pinhole are two larger circles of unequal size with the larger one nearly the diameter of a dime. They don't appear to be bubbles but some feature of the collapsible plunger. Any ideas? The additional circles are photographed in the combined image.
