I am researching a retrospective story about the discovery of one of the most iconic California insulators in the hobby— the sharp dripped Cal, CD 161, in memory of their founders: Rip West and Jim Smaller of Kingman, AZ. Please bring your examples, repairs and specimens, along with any research, stories, previously published information, photos to the upcoming Rohde Ranch Lite Tailgater on April 23-24. We will take group photos. If you know the current whereabouts of any examples that would be a big help in completing a current census. There will be a second sharp dripper invite in Sept 2021 in conjunction with the full-service Rohde Tailgater.
