Some pole lines in the city remained looking pretty much like this until the last couple decades or so when new poles were installed and higher primary voltage lines were strung. The city's fire alarm circuits remained for a while in some neighborhoods. These lines almost always were on six-pin crossarms using glass insulators (third crossarm down in this photo). The majority of these lines now are mostly disconnected and their fire alarm call boxes removed.
