Here's a rarely seen and never offered before early porcelain "Paderno" type multipart insulator from Italy! This is the classic one you will typically see in the early advertisements in electricity books of the era. There are several later examples with different profiles that were developed to improve its insulating abilities.

Although unembossed, it was recovered in Italy and has the early threaded brass thimble insert. Measures 8 1/2" wide on top outer shell x 9 1/2" tall. Essentially two 3-skirt uniparts that are cemented together in the middle. The top shell has two large flakes underneath the rim [id=620175821], one of which is visible from the reverse display [id=620176535]. And one large flake on the largest outer rim (also on the underside) [id=620175882]. There is also a tiny outer rim nick that caused a 1/2 fingernail surface glaze crazing. This allows it to display VNM++ from one side and NM from the other. There is marking pen writing inside the pinhole that I believe identifies the location of its original use in Italy. Don't let the damage deter you as these are never offered or seen for sale! Likely a Richard Ginori production piece.

First email that says they will buy it gets this rare porcelain gem for only $400 plus shipping. Don't snooze on this one. No others known by seller. Thanks!
