This is a bushing that came out of an interurban power house built in 1901. It was probably connected to a marble slab and mounted on the wall with a knife switch on one side and conductors running through the center hole. It is 6" tall x 3.5" wide. 10 side ribs. There is a raised ring of glass around the hole on top that has four indentations around the outside ofthe ring. The base has been grinded down. Four vertical grooves are on the side of the bottom section. The color is light aqua similar to Hemingray insulators. Fine, thin, surface-level annealing lines on the base. 4 dings around the top pinhole, 1/2" x 1/4" chip on the top ring, 1" x 3/8" chip on top, under this there is 1/2" x 3/8" chip on the lip below, under this there is a 7/8" x 3/8" chip, under this there is a 1/2" x 3/8" chip, 5/8" and 1/2" chips on two middle ribs, flaking around the base. $400 plus postage. I've collected these for 25 years and they are few and far between. I bought something similar at the 2000 Y2K Minnesota national and haven't seen another for sale since then.
