Here's an odd pair of Hemi CD 106s that came from a pile of telephone glass in eastern Ontario years back. Yes, these two are stamped 106s AND they're blue, so Brent Burger would say they should probably be pitched in the river. Maybe I can spare them the pitching and find someone on ICON who might like to give them a good home. The example at left in the two photos is a [020] with a '7' on the dome. Maybe underwhelming to some, but a seemingly scarce variant that I've only ever come across in this one collection. This one is a nice hemi blue colour, and is in fantastic shape for one of these with no flaked drips - just a tiny crescent fisheye in the front wire groove and a bit of light scuffing on the right side of the dome. At right is a [145] EIN with "HEMINGRAY" blotted out behind "MADE IN U.S.A." on the rear skirt. The "Y" is still plainly visible between "U" and "S". This one is also a nice light Hemingray blue colour. 8 partially chipped tiny drips in the front, and a 1/8" flat flake on the front base edge near the right mold line. I'd still call this one better than most, given how delicate those drips and that sharp outer base edge are. Asking $20 USD for the pair. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
