These poletop stancions were made of heavy 1-1/2 inch steel pipe with 90-degree elbows. Wooden insulator pins were inserted into the open T's of these fittings. Sometimes the longer "duplex" pins were fit right through the other end of the pipe "T" for an additional insulator and more wires. Their pole-mounting bases were considerably flattened with at least a couple holes through the metal for wood poletop attachment. These relics were scattered around Albany in very limited numbers through at least the 1990s and their wires were long gone. I have one of these pole top "brackets" and it appears to have been made in some shop owing to their irregularities.
