Here's a RARE early circa 1900 unlisted porcelain slot top with eye holes on each side for securing the cable with a tie wire! These were made by Porcelana REX, Limitada- an early Brazilian insulator manufacturer [id=615007367]. This example is unmarked. You won't find this jumbo example in any of the books or the NIA website! Measures 4" wide x 5 3/4" tall. Has original hardware cemented inside. This hardware is the style seen on many early British porcelain insulators in the early 1900's.

Has a flake on one end of the slot [id=615006527] and a chip with small crack below it on other end of slot [id=615006590] and two shallow tie wire rub marks. Glaze has lots of tiny air bubbles in it which has trapped some dirt which I have not attempted to clean. The original hardware has some rust holes in it.
