Boston Edison used nothing but glass pintypes for many years. In this photo are common styles such as CD 164s, 165s, 165.1s and 167s. Many of their lines are still well insulated by glass insulators carried over by pole changeovers that took place through the decades, especially where 4kv primary distribution lines exist.
