A carbon like smear all down the side of todays insulator. Above the wire groove you can feel it, below the wire groove its down into the glass. I recall Mark L from Canada talking about mold paste being used. could this be an example of that ? Other ideas ? as to its cause ?

oh, and of course, it has the daily bubble in the dome on the front side.
