This beautiful CD 149 deep blue "pointed bullet" insulator is designated the "Burbrook Extra Deep Groove Double Petticoat" in the 1907 Stuart-Howland catalogue. You will see in the photo an overpour of glass along the base of the skirt. Very similar to the CD 214 Telegrafos Nacionales. There are four shallow base chips that occur at locations where portions of the excess glass have been chipped off. Might well have been done at the factory. None of the chipping extends up into the skirt. There is a 1/4" shallow chip on the underside of the upper ridge of the wire groove. You can see by the photo that this is a great example of a deep blue color for a CD 149. Based on prices realized for CD 149s in recent on line auctions, my Black Friday asking price of $120.00 + actual shipping cost to your US address, is a steal! PayPal, friend mode, or check.
