This pole very likely goes back to the 1890s when many telegraph lines here in the Northeastern U.S. were upgraded. Western Union typically employed CD 145 insulators with their rebuilds of that time (discarding any single petticoat insulators such as CD 126s, 127s, 133s, etc.). Most of the CD 145s they used in this region were Brookfields.
