My husband was inspired by Dan Guaron's post to try to build me a lighted display case, which I've wanted for years. We didn't have access to almost free wood or shelves, but my admittedly carpentry challenged husband managed to build a serviceable case for a reasonable price. I now have a case I can use at home to admire my junk in glass pieces, and he put a handle on top so that we can take it to shows. It would be nice if we could find reasonably priced acrylic that was strong enough for shelves, but we'll have to research that more. The case will be making its debut at Springfield.
