I believe this station housed transformers with higher-voltage primaries from the three-multipart pole line on the left. The distribution secondaries were then strung from the crossarm you see on the left side of the building. These probably were 2,400 volt lines for a nearby town; a portion of a pole with a number of these circuits is seen on the extreme left.
