Old coop substation

The old Mountrail Electric Coop (now Mountrail-Williams Electric Coop) 'Belden' substation while it still stood; this small substation split one 69kV line into three 12.5kV circuits. The two southbound circuits were standard REA construction, but the northbound circuit was of slightly different construction.

The only time I saw this sub in person was a brief glimpse on a family vacation trip over 4 decades ago, and when I ventured back out that way about ten years ago to get a picture, the coop had already replaced it with a much bigger substation across the highway as part of a major expansion to serve the Bakken oilfield loads.
