The piece on the left was one of the first insulators I ever found when I was about 10 years old, found at The Barn antique shop in San Juan Capistrano, CA with my dad. I affectionately called it "Frankenstein" because of its big blocky dome that extends out further than the wire groove and skirt, making it look a bit like the head of Frankenstein's Monster to me. The skirt is also unusual due to its more flared taper and a higher up than average embossing. It's not rare or anything, but an interesting variant to collect.

I recently found his "brother" in a nice shade of green; this is the first one of these I've seen in a color other than aqua. Just in time for Halloween!
