The white stenciling on the upper crossarm reads: E.E.I. Co. which represented the Edison Electric Illuminating Company (of Boston). This company became Boston Edison in 1938.

The white milk glass globe on the arc light is unusual since the majority were clear glass. Quite likely the white glassware was an option intended to reduce glare.
