Boston, 1910. Poletop View of Telephone Openwire Pole with Electric Lines

The top and bottom crossarms appear to have been for electric lighting service customers. Note the clear stenciling "E.E.I. Co." on the crossover arm beneath. These initials stand for the Edison Electric Illuminating Company (of Boston). In between on the middle two arms are lines for telephone subscribers. Note the twisted-pair "cord" type wire. This appears to have been a deadend pole for this openwire subscriber route as evidenced by the two lead cables having internal pairs extending to it.
