Here's a rare EDISWAN porcelain battery rest made in London England between 1883-1892. This trademark name was formed after Thomas Edison lost a patent infringement court case for his creation of the light bulb to Sir Joseph Swan. This resulted in Edison Light Company's assets being merged with Swan United Electric Co in 1883. Edison's patents were sold to Brush Electric Co in 1892.

This rare EDISWAN porcelain battery rest is one of two known. Has small crack on one piece and repaired chip on the other with some tiny fragements missing. Also has glaze flaking off due to prolonged contact with (I'm assuming) battery acids. See additional photo [id=605385092]. Still a super fine example never before seen or offered!

First email gets this historic battery rest insulator for only $300 plus shipping. Thanks!
