I think most of these lines might have belonged to the Edison Electric Illuminating Company of Brockton (formed in 1881, becoming the Brockton Edison Company in 1938). Thomas Edison performed numerous electric direct-current experiments in Brockton including installing the first underground DC distribution network. Brockton is a Boston suburb, about 20 miles to the south. I was born and spent my first 15 years there.
