Here's a rarely seen station post insulator used indoors to insulate electrical machinery and apparatus. These are typically found made of porcelain. This one is made of killer Deep Midnight Blue glass! The thinner glass areas are Deep Teal Blue while the thicker areas are Deep Sapphire with Violet tint that gives overall Cobalt appearance in the thicker glass areas. Found in Spain and unmarked. Measures 3 5/8" tall x 2 1/2" wide. This is a rare color insulator- rarely seen in any insulator! Has 3 pumpkin seed size marks on the top of crown and 3 around outer base skirt. Teeny scratch inside upper bowl, 2 match head flakes and 1 small skirt flake, 2 tic marks. The "wear marks" (pumpkin seed size) are shown to be factory made (in Esperanza catalog of slightly different style) and they are uniform in size and placement and consistent with the clear one. These grinding divot marks were factory made to allow the metal caps to slide into place (top and bottom) without breaking them. This fine example is Very Near Mint! For a look at what these look like with metal caps attached [id=601486173] in the commonly seen porcelain. First email gets this killer Midnight Blue with a Deep Sapphire/Violet tint station post insulator for the slashed price of only $100 shipped! Thanks! |
