Here's a CD 154 Asturias (front) Transmisiones (reverse) in a rare Dk Yellow Olive Green! So far, I've only seen these in Dk Emerald Green and Emerald Green Blackglass. This is a new color. Doesn't have the huge dimple in the top of the pinhole like the Dk Emerald Green ones! These were used during the Spanish Civil war in 1936-39 to replace damaged insulators in the small region of Asturias. Most were ruined in the war. Close up photo allows the true color to be seen. And to top that off, this beauty is in Very Near Mint! Small chip on one drip and another drip has a light bruise on it. Otherwise, only some lower skirt scratches! These were made with annealing cracks both surface and some internal- similar to Denver and California insulators. The material used to make these insulators is very brittle and its amazing any have survived. You may never get another opportunity to get one this nice of condition or in this tough color! Here's a pic of the base: [id=598838066] Photos taken with strict 5000K full spectrum lighting. For a full profile photo [id=599009527]. First email that says they will buy it gets this rare CD 154 for only $225!! U.S. Thanks! Don't snooze! |
