I have no idea why a few of these are white. Similar spottings of CD 140 Jumbos are in some of my other old photos as well. Were they painted? Or maybe made of some composition material or were porcelain? At any rate they appear to have been about the same size as the glass ones and look like they were mounted on the same kind of larger, beefy wooden pins.
