Hull is a coastal community, not too far south of Boston. For whatever reason their lighting plant used a lot of blue porcelain insulators on their distribution lines all over town. Maybe there are a couple in this photo.

Within this album I am highlighting the events of the Hingham Municipal Lighting Plant (a neighboring town of Hull) on a year-to-year basis starting with their inception in 1894. There are plenty of early pole lines photographed along with interesting info about them, light plant history, fun facts and figures as well as some and fokelore too .
