I've recently upgraded my setup as this is too small for more than one piece, and photographing larger power pieces (and porcelain is difficult). The box new on eBay is about $15 and I got a great life out of it with my smartphone. I'm thowing in a power cord as well and Samsung cube. The white background is marred from use and one flap of the box is cracking so just be careful opening it and setting it up.

One LED strip light on the top and a choice of white or black background in a cloth carrying case.

It is with this box and my Galaxy S7 Edge that Bill Meier himself said were some of the best insulator photos he's seen. A great starter item for smaller pieces. There will be a tricky glare from the top to overcome, but can't beat it for the price.
