Here is a display I made up of how the Duggan patent one wire cleats were used. Usually put in a series of 4 or 5 cleats mounted in a row. The Duggan patent for cleats is US 508,687 Nov 14,1903. There were many other companies that used this method and had there own patents such as General Electric Co., Buffington and Dow, FEDCO etc. Always on the search for markings and styles I don't have.
